I thought the Pats were over hyped all year. Sure they are a good team but the greatest team ever crap was always just that. Once teams figured out that taking away Moss would work they slowed that offense down. I think the Chargers would have beaten them with a healthy roster.

It was a pretty big upset I guess but hardly the greatest ever.

I have to disagree. The AFL-NFL factor trumps the undefeated Patriots aspect. Think of it this way -- what would be the bigger upset, the 2008 NYG over NE, or a Canadian team upsetting a Montana-led 49ers team? That was the vibe surrounding SB III.

Jets was before my time so i really cant comment on that game.

But considering what was on the line for the Pats. Having already just beaten the Giants on their turf, that was the biggest ive ever seen. Even all the guys that wanted to pull for the Giants were conceding a win to NE.

I was hoping the Giants would do it, but im kinda shocked that they actually did it.

    That 4th quarter was awesome.

You can't be serious. Over hyped? They won 18 srataight games and set every offensive record that matters. The defense was ranked 4th in the nfl.

And as far as "figuring out that taking Moss away would work"...teams were trying to double him all year. Some were more effective than others. Once the playoffs came, Brady just stopped throwing his way. No sense in throwing into double coverage.

BYW, the Chargers got a shot at them healthy and lost 38-14.

You shouldn't be allowed to post in the football forum.

Not even close. The Jets win over the Colts was the greatest upset and after that we started using the term "on any given Sunday".

I think the Danica Patrick exposure clip was the biggest upset. I was upset as a mofo.
