Safeties

It hasn't been just safety, it's been Center, Gaurd, Tackle, TE, WR, QB, RB, FB, DT, DE, LB and CB as well as an occasional Punter or Kicker whiff. Long Snapper is the only positon I don't recall a whiff.

 

So all the fussing about a safety going into last year has translated into us being fine with where we are? Cooper is good enough? Really?

 

no one said that, and for years a few of us have been saying that a very good true FS type player would be welcome but wouldn't be used that way. A zone safety's what we want, it's what we need, and this idea that we're going to have some guy freelancing and covering sideline to sideline just isn't an actual reality.

 

I think Madeau (?) Williams of Cincy is a FA. The things I've read about Kenny Phillips makes me nervous about drafting him high. I'd reather go DL/OL.

 

I would like to have Kenny Phillips but in reality we do have larger needs. I am not sure where Decoud will go but he might be an option.

 

I think it's time we get you a third or fourth name at safety, Thelt. Go read up on Jonathan Demps, DaJuan Morgan, Marcus Griffin, and Reggie Smith while the board's slow.
