Not about what he should get, what we could get in trade, just about what is the deal.

I'm very uncomfortable throwing Freeney +++ money at a guy, who in his contract year, which is likely one of the largest defensive contracts EVER, lays a big fat egg like Peppers did.

This was a very bad year for him to have a bad year.

I hope the FO knows what's going on with him and handles it appropriately - even if that means he's no longer a Panther.

Went for option #1, they know more than we do.

OTOH if they sign him to a big contract and he repeats this year, I'll be really pissed. Like everybody else I guess.

I expect him to be re-signed, and will hope for the best.

his stock has dropped. somebody will be watching, waiting in hopes of stealing a gem for peanuts. but you cant offer him freeny money nor will he garner a high trade value due to his shitty performance this year. its a almost like the andruw jones deal with the atlanta braves, almost. after dan morgan, nothing would surprise me though.

We won't get him for sub-freeney money.

    I voted number 1.

The trouble is they HAVE to do something with Peppers. His cap number for next season is too high so they either have to restructure, sign him to a new deal or attempt to trade him. I like Peppers but I'm sure having doubts after this season. I'm just glad I don't have to make this decision because any of them could easily blow up in your face...

We won't get him for way more than Freeney money.

Why do we have to do something?

We're 6 mil under the cap. We can free about 10 mil pretty easily. That won't give us as much as many other teams, but I don't see that we have to do anything, particularly when doing something has the potential of destroying the franchise.
