OC was leaving anyway, Ryan could be in line for HC there, or elsewhere.

Why, they have a position coach you like?

I certainly like Ryan, Frank Gansz, Jr.is an OK ST coach, Clarence Brooks a good enough DL coach, Mark Carrier the former S is certainly solid enough. Didn't realize they had Vic Fangio, but he and Mark Roman have been here already.

More interesting in the "Billick generally has good staff" way than the "we really need ________" way, other than ST.

he's not awful, but he's not good enough.

Looks like Parcells is going to be robbing the Cowboys, once they're out of the playoffs, of an executive and a coach.

Funny, Tony Sparano goes from default OC under Parcells, to just a line coach again as a reward for staying with the Cowboys, and now it looks like he'll be the coach in Miami. What an endorsement, though - being the guy Parcells hires.

I'm sure he'd be a dynamite DC (and a guy, if we were looking, that I'd kill a hobo to get). But I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him as a head coach again. Actually, Parcells hired Nolan to be the Jets' DC in his one year as GM, when Groh was there (and funny enough, he promoted Dan Henning to OC when Weis left).

This does give some credence to the Holmgren rumors for SF, and it'll be interesting to see what happens there. I think with the Yorks in power, they have no chance, though.
