    Roster move coming

Submitted by Darin on Thu, 2007-12-20 14:05.

No official word yet, but the Carolina Panthers are about to end an era at wide receiver.
They're going to put Keary Colbert on injured reserve this afternoon, and promote Jason Carter from the practice squad. Colbert's knee injury isn't that bad, but it's not going to allow him to play the rest of this year. And since he's a free agent this spring, don't ever expect to see him back again.
Carter's a kid with promise. Look for him to become the Taye Biddle of 2008 (the hot prospect everyone raves about in the preseason), but he's more of a player than Biddle, and not nearly as frail. A former QB at Texas A&M, Carter has caught the attention of several teammates and the coaching staff this year, with his talent as well as his upbeat personality.

Colbert has had, annually, a disastrous December. Something about getting to the cold months makes him even worse than normal.

well, he can't catch - especially at crucial times - balls that 're thrown in his chest/hands.

he's not fast, nor quick, and has the goofiest run I've ever seen for a wr. 'smooth' does not describe him.

he smiles, laughs and yuks it up when he's fuking up and we're losing.

he has made some plays, especially his rook season, but he's gotten remakebly worse as the seasons have wore on.

    we won't miss him.:k:

    Agree on all, Micool.

This week would be a great time for Jarrett to have a breakout game, of course we have to give him playing time first.

assuming Jarrett can go. He was banged up, and then was active last week but didn't play.

Either way, I'd like to see he and Robinson some.
