    painting is hard work but its something most people can do themselves.........and save a ton of money.

    Exactly...especially if the house is empty and you don't have the additional hassle of moving and covering furniture (which would be a giant pain in the arse).

    Ehhh. Our living room is open to the loft upstairs. No way am I dealing with that. It's just easier to pay someone.
