I just watch the games and make notes of guys I've watchlisted.

Do most of you only watch/scout when we suck?

Ainge, I just don't like his decision making, and his ability under pressure. I guess he's NFL worthy, but I just don't know that he's a starter.

Nope, I watch/scout all year, every year, and regardless of record. like these games especially because we tend to see good talent going against good talent.

The Panther obviously have needs and it's fun to talk about players who will be available at those positions.

    Don't patronize me, bitch!

I actually don't like to value championship games and BCS/Bowl games that high. Those tend to be the ones that everyone watches, and therefore the hype builds.

Does J. Hester have any chance of ever being an every down back in the NFL?

I've been watching him all year, and I like everything I see but I still don't know that answer. Everyone seems to say no, and that he's a tweener, but he just produces.

Also, will his apparent lack of athleticism finally catch up to him there? (Just saying that because he seems to outplay his ability).

[edit] scratch that - I guess every service out there has decided that he's a FB at the next level. Thought he was considered too small.

I'm not telling you not to talk about it. I'm saying that championship games and bcs/bowl games are overblown for scouting.

Hester? Hard to say, hard to get a good feel for him. I don't think he's going to be elite, but being every-down is hard to say because of the system and necessity. In the right system, he could play RB. He's probably more suited to the modern fullback, where you start to see more inside handoffs than in years past and can get a lot of receptions.

same here, but adding G, TE, OLB, and WR as well. Hopefully some of these positions will get addressed by more than just a warm body in the draft as well as FA.
