I heard that Steeler line quoted earlier in the week. A guy on ESPN radio this evening mentioned the Niners (-23) vs. the BenGALS in 1993. He pegged the number for the Jets and Miami @ 26 and 28.

4 TD's in the NFL! That's a number you see in college with a Top 5 team playing a homecoming chump or MAC team in September.

 

The odds makers are trying to entice people to bet on the huge spread...so they can win some money back.

 

That's not exactly how it works.

 

that'd be Myrna "Train Station" Cosgrove. Renowned for her spaciopus and accomodating cooter, she had other uses too. I remember the time they were gonna have to cancel the pee-wee football game because vandals had torn down one of the goal posts. Myrna volunteered to stand on her head in the back of the endzone during PATs and field goal tries.

good ol' Myrna. She was a big hit on free cheese night at the homeless shelter. If you wanted sharp cheddar instead of the standards American, you just brought your own spoon or garden trowel.

 

In my opinion, 22 against an A.J. Feeley Eagles team wouldn't be nearly enough.

 

A true humanitarian, yes. Damn shame about that game though - it was called a tie @ 48-48 in the third OT after the town ran out of footballs.

There wasn't no bouncing off ol' Myrna's crossbar and back onto the playing field if you know what I mean.
