I'm not surprised that Jarrett isn't starting, but I am surprised and somewhat dismayed that he's not playing at all. I don't put all of that on him either, although he's certainly not changed their minds.

If he can't make it in Detroit or Oakland, then how is he gonna make it in Carolina. I mean look at his former Teammate in Colbert, and the past 2 seasons that he's had. Let's not go there

Calibrate those sarcasm detectors folks on a regular basis. The internet is a dangerous place.

at the start of the season, you mentioned WR's need time to come along, but I agree with this assessment as well. He's not getting a uniform, which tells me he's not earning it in practice or in the classroom. We can't shoot practices, but it would seem to me, that by this time, he either gets it and can contribute, or he doesn't get it, and his rookie season is all but lost with 9 to play.

I'm sorry and don't mean to insult anyone but it's beyond me how people could think he was gonna contribute out of the gate. Take the basic truisms about WRs not being ready for this level their first year and add Fox's handling of rooks in his tenure here, we were looking at midseason to start working him in.

Same goes for Kalil, I don't see people freaking because he's not playing and rightfully so.

Yeah, but Kalil has actually PLAYED more this season than Jarrett has and that may be why people aren't freaking out like they are with Jarrett.

Maybe Smitty wanted to get him in the film room for some "punch".

Kalil isn't really needed. He was a "damn, we can't believe he's available" pick, not a need.
