I normally don’t start a thread like that. But I feel like a thread must be start .let me also say that I am not starting this thread because of what just happen today .The problem start when the panthers fire Scott O'Brien and brought .Now I believe that the reason that Scott O'Brien is not our Special Team coach is because the players did not like him. So yea the players like Danny Crossman as a person but as coach he is a very bad coach. The panthers in the draft they drafted Ryne Robinson to fix the problem on kickoff and punt Returns and guess what it did not fix the problem .The panthers are ignoring the problem that real problem is Danny Crossman Our special team can’t tackle on kickoff we can’t Returns a kick for more then 20yeard. Does anyone remember when was the last time that we returns a punt or a kickoff for a TD oh when we kick the ball we can’t deep into the end zone. Most of the time the other team gets to returns the kickoff from the 10yeard line. Is it not time to get a good Special Team coach? Had we had a good Special Team coach it would have improver alt the offence would have a shorter field to drive in order to score a TD

I don't mind canning Crossman, but Denver sucks on special teams this year. People need to understand that. We were already starting to slip on special teams under O'Brien, so let's not pretend it's as simple as changing coaches. I think we need to look at our scouting department and wonder why they can't find a decent returner.

returner's a fair question, but it's not like Deangelo Williams or Richard Marshall were inept at returning when they were in school. One year it's the blocking, one year it's the returning, we just haven't been that good.

He needs to go, regardless. It actually wouldn't be bad to snag Darrin Simmons back if possible, were Marvin Lewis to get fired for his team's indiscretions.

Was O'Brien fired? I thought he "retired" then went to Miami, where he was fired.

True. I marked it down as him losing interest at the time.

We tried to restock ST this year and have had guys we were counting on go down. Losing Metcalf especially hurt. But we've been consistently poor under Crossman, we can have shitty ST without him. I just don't see any good coming from him and would just as soon see the team give someone else a chance.
