    Did anyone catch this?

While waiting for the kickoff to the 4 pm game, instead of going live to Houston for that miraculous comeback the Texans made, The NFL today would watch a play, then show it to the tv audience, then analyze it. Normally in this situation, they would have went live and stayed with it until the end. They kept doing this until Tennessee's Rod Bironas kicked his NFL Record-8th field goal and won the game.

This was pathetic. I would have loved to have seen it all transpire without hearing the morons on CBS break it down. I think the plays were all self-explanitory.

it's some dumbass rule that cbs can't show live extra coverage after Fox starts their afternoon game. The cowboys game started at 4:15, so they had to stop showing the titans game live.

I'm sure the rule has been there for awhile, it was just lame that they had to show a great ending that way. Hearing Marino, Brown, Boomer, Sharpe, and Cowher describe the play by play, then show the actual play 2 seconds after isn't much different than showing the actual game. I'd rather watch that ending than see the first 5 minutes of another game, and I put up with the horrible situation just to see how it ended.

I hope the nfl gets some complaints for this.

I remember one of the networks saying this last year. It's some stupid NFL rule that says the early games on networks can be shown until 4:15pm, in which they have to pull the plug and send it to studio. Heidi, anyone?

And you're right. I laughed as they all are trying to watch a monitor and describe the play, then we see what happens. Silly.
