The space time continuum will collapse in Charlotte if Jake doesn't come back.

yeah, that 110 QB rating he had this year sucks so bad. We really don't need a player like that around at all.

this is where you make some homophobic statement since you lack the ability to discuss anything rationally regarding our quarterback

If the Carr we saw last weekend is it, then yeah, we'd be sunk.

Jake is the greatest QB of all time.

(In your Jakeworld, I'm sure that's a valid rational statement)

Jakes a hell of a lot better than anyone available. We would pull out of our present funk quicker if he was back (IMHO). But today, Carr's starting and I am pulling for him to have the game of his career.

It does seem that Jake is starting to suffer from Morganitis. He'll probably prove me wrong, but I don't know how many more years he will hold up (physically, mentally, coaching change, etc.) It wouldn't be a bad time to start looking for his replacement in the draft this upcoming year. Who knows where we will be at in the draft. Matt Ryan is really appealing to me. Could start in 2-3 years at worst, although he's probably read sooner rather than later.

May not be available where we draft (I think it'll be around the mid 1st or above) if his stock keeps rising.

I don't think that's a fair comparison, but it is a fair point overall. Like it or not, this team has to start thinking about replacing Jake. In a couple of years he'll presumably be seeing a stark performance decline due to age, but it might be an issue even sooner than that if surgery is required as expected, depending on what the procedure is. I'm not exceptionally worried about it, aside from the possibility that we suck our way into a top 5 pick and use it on a quarterback, but it is something the team will need to address. Maybe Carr will step up (funny how people wrote him off after just one game), or maybe they'll need to look elsewhere, but it's certainly a looming issue.
