I'll say heart is important, but not nearly important enough to trump David Carr's suck factor.

We're fucked if Carr starts the rest of the year.

    :dupe:

I'm more concerned about the D than I am Carr. Carr is only one player, and we still have the best WR in the game. The entire D has sucked so far.

Carr and Anderson have not had to make the calls with these guys before. They do not know the nuances of each player or how they will mentally and physically react when they make decisions. They haven't proven themselves as leaders to the team yet. It's going to take time. Hopefully we get some wins before it clicks.

I'll give it a couple of more games before I give up on Carr. He was atrocious Sunday, no doubt. But let's see how he does over the next month.

Face it, Tampa Bay had that one coming and you know they were gunning for it. The Panthers have owned/beaten down the Bucs for several years, and I'm sure they were putting a lot of planning (heh, and heart) into this game. Gruden actually talked about building his current offense to beat our defense. Our defense has been a thorn to them the way Michael Vick has been to us. That, and Gruden's job is, or perhaps was, on the line this year.

Carr did and probably will suck but I am curious to see what he can do if we have our running game going.

he really does kinda blow. Mid-2002, against Tampa coincidentally, last time I remember us being that fucking inept. Fasani magic.

Fasani could not do that jump flip and roll thing though.

They're talking about this on sirius now.

Bottom line - our defense will have to win games for us. We were stacking up some points with Delhomme in the offense, I don't see that happening without him.

The defense and the run game has to show up.
