Thats the most concerning thing right now for me. Tackling. Were not doing it. Ken Lucas has all but lost his game. On the flip side, Gamble seems to be playing exceptionally lately. But Im assuming, lol, that the two are connected.

Yeah, we did. Some people think a blitz only counts if it actually works, which most of our blitzes today did not. The pressure was atrocious, no doubt. Oddly enough, the tackling was very good on the first couple of drives and then deteriorated from there. On the run we were our usual selves with most downs being very good interspersed with the occasional "no one is home, would you like a free first down?" lapse.

There are definitely some major, major problems on the defensive side of the ball. Few players are playing up to their ability, and Trgo needs to find a way to make them more effective. There's certainly enough blame to go around.

I remember one play early where Rucker went to the inside and Davis ( I think it was) went to the exact same gap. No one was home on the outside, no containment = 1st down.

This D has some serious issues. Unless they get some shit fixed we're gonna have to score 35 a game to win.

Our running game bailed us out today. We were able to run out the clock with it which was nice and rare for us. The defense should be better than this. Peppers needs to do more. He is the superstar so at least bring some pressure....

you've been listening to all the members of the "Peppers is the greatest player on earth" fan club (also known as the media) for too long. Aren't you a card-carrying member of that club Thelt?

Peppers is a superstar. He was the best defensive player in the league through the first eight games last season.

No, he's been a superstar since coming into the league, but he wasn't the best defensive player in the league since about midway through last season. You're trying to pretend that he's just hype, which makes you look ignorant.

it's funny how you think you know what someone is saying when you don't . . . um, that would make you the ignurnt one right?

What I was suggesting is that he is OVER hyped by the friggin' peppers worshiping media

Just recently here this was discussed . . . commentators are over hyping him, and our D-line, and the entire D at times. Our D looks like crap, and against teams that are not by any stretch great offenses
