Yeah. They need to start saying "The Panthers have virtually no defense". Maybe that would wake their sorry asses up. :behead:

And weren't they playing against the same offensive line that allowed Carr to get sacked so many times?

interesting that we're not hearing that chorus from last year about how our offense is to blame for the D being on the field so much.

    week 1 v. STL - PANTHERS 34:07, RAMS 25:53. result-W
    week 2 v. HOU - PANTHERS 25:12, TEXANS 34:48 RESULT-L

There are times the TOP is a throw-away number, but in this instance, I think it speaks loudly as to the Panthers (or any team for that matter) success. Keep their offense off the field, you win.

Yes, I know I just hit you with something you never knew. :51:

JD's offense needs to be more like it was in the opener, than against Houston. Sunday was brutal.

ALSO--the DEF isn't entirely off the hook--they gotta get off the field on 3rd and long which they were not doing v. HOU.

The interesting thing was Colbert's problems before weren't necessarily not holding on to the ball. He could always catch, it was getting open and being a viable option for Jake. To his credit he seems to have made himself more available to the QB, but now he has some drops. Its gonna be interesting to see if Fox sticks with him and gives him the benefit of the doubt..again. They showed him on the sideline nd you could tell he was upset. Hoepfully this doesn't destroy any confidence he was able to build back thus leaving him where he was last year.

Everyone here agrees that Colbert's hands are sewn on backwards. In addition, he can't consistantly get open, and he should be a better blocker than he is. We didn't go to him often last year because we had Key. Now that he's gone, Keary is getting the opportunity and he's not making the most of it.

We don't need another Steve Smith, just someone who can block well and consistantly catch the ball.
