Jake currently has a better passer rating than Peyton Manning.

i'm assuming the pass on the first drive. jake scrambled and ended up tossing a pass to king on the sidelines. the people i was with shit their pants. I thought it was a great pass threading the needle. the intereception was piss poor but hell, it was the only turnover that didn't lead to points. at least i think so.

we should come up with a list of feasible qb's to start in front of jake. that we could afford and that a team won't lock up. i doubt that list is very long.

I did sit with some guy that referred to jake as "delhomo" and he said that we'd never win a superbowl with him as a qb. Anybody seem to remember what he did that lost the superbowl that year?

That could have been Henning. Was he wearing a queer straw hat?

Maybe so, but he keeps throwing AT defenders and praying his WR's are aggressive enough to get the ball it's going to bite the Panthers in the ass just like it did last year. He had good numbers yesterday, but numbers don't tell the story.
Delhomme is a good QB, he's done GREAT things for this franchise. I've given him lots of leash in the past, but he needs to be more careful with the ball if that trophy is going to be in JR's case any time soon.:hanged:

I'm certainly not gonna say that Jake lost yesterday's game...everyone else (except Smitty) was way worse. But have you noticed that it seems like every reciever that comes here 'can't catch'? All of a sudden guys get to Carolina and 'can't catch'? Maybe we should peel back the onion a little more.

Ricky Proehl and Keyshawn caught just fine. Smitty catches well. Moose caught well.

I don't really think anyone said guys come here and suddenly can't catch.

I will gladly dog on this regime's ability to draft receivers, though. And we haven't done a great job of keeping them, either.
