Charles Manson didn't kill anyone, but he created the environment and motivation for it. Sort of like that pedophile putting up websites to show where perves could find kids.

the worst part for vick is that all the others who pleaded guilty say that they saw vick hanging and drowning the dogs, and gambling. He should just plead guilty to everything, hes digging himself a hole he cant get out of.

I dunno. I'm getting a weird feeling that someone has screwed up here, and Vick might wiggle out of this one with a light slap instead of something worse. Hope I am wrong.

Lester Munson says one thing, and roger Cossack says another in their online video things through ESPN.com. Munson says no way Vick gets out of this with that possible plea change (the one being reported now), while Cossack thinks Vick could change the plea, the judge could accept it, and sentence accordingly. What I don't get is the 7 witnesses all testifying, saying the same thing, and that Vick could say differently--basically saying, those 7 are all lying, and I am telling the truth.

no way. Apparently this judge is a hardass and if anything I bet he'll get worse than expected. I don't think the judge will like vicks current position.

The “sheepish” guy in the gang that breaks into a house and rapes or kills someone does not avoid imprisonment . . . He just gets a little less time than the others who commit the actual acts

As far as I know a bookie is the guy who handles payoffs . .. He does not have to ever make a wager to end up getting as stiff a sentence as those who do gamble. In fact, don't bookies get even stiffer sentences?

well, I am nto gonna argue with ya (not that you were being argumentative), but if you can, have a look at both munson and Cossack's video snipets. It's just weird to think that after all the testimony, Vick COULD skate with a lighter punishment.

yeah, i've been keeping up with Cossacks clips and get a different feeling. If vick gets less than a 18 month sentence i will be shocked.

Also - as tragically bad as vicks judgment is i wouldn't be expecting him to get out early on good behavior either . . . my guess would be that he would screw up somehow while inside and get even more time

The one thing those guys pointed out is that the other defendants all have prior felony convictions, while Vick does not. So he's likely to get some leeway there, but I haven't heard anyone suggest that he'd get less than 12 months.

true-his lack of prior's gives him wiggle room, but I just have a weird feeling he's gonna skate real REAL easy.
