My top 5 moments in Carolina Panther’s History:

5. Fox screws with the Catman - In another hilarious Fox TV production, the broadcasting crew decide to play a joke on Carolina Panthers fan Greg “Catman” Good, by telling him that he won a new car. Instead of presenting him with an actual car, they send Tony Siragusa over with a toy car. Turns out Catman could’ve really used a new car, because he had a beat up van that had 150,000 miles on it…and it was his only method of transportation to get back and forth from his job…where he’s a counselor troubled youth. Nice move Fox. Eventually they made good on the joke and gave him a new truck.



4. Kerry Collins - drunk. Before Kerry Collins was a mediocre quarterback with the Giants, he was a mediocre quarterback with the Panthers. Not just any type of mediocre quarterback though…He was a DRUNK mediocre quarterback. Apparently good ol Kerry liked to drink and get racist all over his teammates asses. He claimed that it brought the team closer. A DUI in Charlotte sealed his fate and he was released from the team.



3. Steroid Scandal - Is it a mere coincidence that the a number of Panthers players were accused of using steroids the same year they made it to the Super Bowl? At least 6 players, including 3 starting offensive lineman were accused of taking “alarmingly high amounts with high dosages for long durations.” My favorite part of the story? The side effects. One player complained of hair loss and shrunken testicles. Another was prescribed anti-estrogen drugs, which male steroid users ingest to prevent breast growth.



2. Rae Carruth murder case - How murdering your pregnant girlfriend isn’t #1 is amazing, but just you wait. Carruth, a wide receiver with the Panthers, orchestrated the drive by shooting of his 8 month pregnant girlfriend and then fled the scene. He was eventually found by police in the trunk of a car. Also in the trunk…bottles containing his urine. Nice. He was found guilty and is currently serving an 18 year sentence and should be released in 2018. No word on whether or not he will resume his NFL career.



1. Two Carolina Panthers cheerleaders arrested for having sex in a bathroom at a bar - with each other. There’s just too much to love about this story. Take two hot 20 year old cheerleaders. Put them in a bar. Get them drunk. Put them in a stall together. Watch them make out. Turns out the only reason this became a problem was because there was a line for the restroom and the other patrons (obviously not men) got angry. The cheerleaders and patrons started fighting. One cheerleader punches a patron. The cheerleaders get kicked out and get arrested. Then they get kicked off the cheerleading squad. Now there’s one less thing to look forward to when attending a Panthers game.

 

How is Rae Carruth not #1? And where is Fred Lane?

I personally liked the time that dude that one the grill called out the Tampa Bay defense and pissed them off almost costing the Panthers the game.

 

This should be the top 5 worst moments in our history. I am pretty sure one of the TOP 5 moments would be Steve Smiths TD Catch that finally won the St. Louis playoff game the year we went to the Super Bowl.

This seems like an awfully lot of bad memories for such a young franchise.
