Looks like a big job. Can you give a estimate at what the irrigation system is gonna cost? I'm thinking of installing one this fall/winter.

The irrigation system is about $5k, for about 1/2 acre. All quotes were right there - $4700 - $6k depending on bling.

Which is why my yard has been a shithole for 7 years. The back end of the back yard is like 4 miles from the nearest spigot, so I knew I'd never waterit, soI never seeded or anything.

NOw, the kiddies are ready to be turned loose back there, so it's almost like having a big rec room to hve it nice back there.

I still like $ more thn grass, though. However, it's fun to watch the process.

Did they go under your sidewalk? My spigot is behind my front walk. I have always guessed that they would have to go under it to get to the yard.

    Multiple times under multiple walks.

It's not hard. I drove a line under it when i put in the lighting. You dig hole on both sides of the walk, cap an iron pipe that's wider than the walk, and sledgehammer that bitch through.

I installed irrigation systems in high school.
