    The contract holdout of a Carolina Panthers rookie appears to be coming to an end.

    According to a source with knowledge of flight schedules, Jon Beason and agent Michael Huyghue are booked on flights into Charlotte tonight. A league source said they’re expected to meet face to face with the Panthers on Sunday morning and all indications are a deal will be finalized then.

    Beason, the 25th overall pick, has missed eight days of training camp and 12 practices. If all goes as expected, Beason is likely to be on the field Monday morning when the Panthers return to practice.

    Does he still have a chance to catchup and be the opening day starter? The injuries we have been suffering would bode well for that happening​
