what did you start shooting first?

My new purchase just arrived, & I don't know where to begin! Put the wrist-strap on, put the memory stick & the batteries in, & I'm off

Won't see the grandkids till Sunday afternoon, so what should I start with?

Why not around the house nature. Flowers, grass, trees, bugs are cool, water, birds @ bird feeder, rocks.

Btw, glad you didn't post this in R&R, I can imagine what suggestions you'd get from such a loaded question, "what did you start shooting first?"

This was the first "keeper" from my new camera - hard to believe it's been nearly a year. From the file name I'm guessing it was the 56th picture I actually took, but those first 55 were likely just test shots and trying it out.

LOL, I did that, then deleted it. They were just THERE, ya know?

Anyway, I've been having fun with it, but haven't got the whole "transferring them to the computer" thing done yet. Soon, though

My first digital photos were at my friends wedding & reception in Gastonia . . After I got the photos developed, I thought WOW!!!!!!! In 10 years, only diehard photographers will still be developing by film. Poor KODAK is going to be out of bizness IMHO :( :( . . . .

My wife's a floral designer so that's the main thing I use my photography for. I'm not trying to be an event photographer so I'm usually gone before the action starts but the baker was slow delivering the cake for my wife to decorate so I happened to be in the room while the bride shared a moment with the flower girl and ring bearer. I'd just gotten my D70 and I really didn't know how to work it yet, but it's still one of my favorite images.[IMG]
