Jake sucked. Everybody else played great but Jake fucking sucked. It's all Jake's fault.

    Minnesota

    13-6 lead in fourth quarter

8 minutes to go - Fake FG for a TD

Minn. 140 yards rushing (113.8 season avg.)

    T.O.P. - Minn. 37:40 Car. 29.55

Do I need to mention the punt return?

    Cincinnati

14-10 lead with 8:12 to go

    T.O.P. - Cin. 34:32 Car. 25:28

Cin. 112 yards rushing (101.8 season avg.)

We had 60 whole yards rushing. :94poopbanana-thumb1

    Dallas

14-10 lead at 6:30 to go in the 3rd. Key dropped a fucking TD.

    T.O.P. - Dal. 38:16 Car. 21:44

gave up 25 points in the 4th quarter

    T.O.P. in the 4th - Dal. 11:30 Car. 3:30

Dallas 156 yards rushing ( 121 season avg.)

    Car. 76 yards rushing

    Washington

behind 13-10 with 8 minutes to go; Jake hits Smith for a TD

17-13 with 4:37 to go Chris MOTHERFUCKING Cooley 66 yard TD.

Wash. 143 yards rushing (138 season avg.)

    T.O.P. - Wash. 29:14 Car. 30:46

    Philly

24-17 lead with 11 to go

24-24 with 7:15 to go whe we give up a 4 minute drive for a FG.

    T.O.P. - Phi. 32:23 Car. 27:37

Philly 98 yards rushing (124 season avg.)

I think we can all agree that if we'd had anyone other than Jake Delhomme under center we would have been undefeated last season. All we had to do was give Jeff Lewis a call and we'd have had the first round bye. There was no way this was a total team effort at a shitty season. It all rests solely on the QB's shoulders.

In closing I'd like to say if Jake Delhomme gives up another fake FG for a TD or another 66 yard TD to a fat ass honkey, we should cut his ass on the spot.

I don't know, Chris Weinke didn't look so good against the Steelers. Whoo hoo! And, Panthers beat the Falcons with DeAngelo Williams lining up at QB in the second game.

I don't think Jake is a great quarterback, and Carr might pull what Jake did in 03. We will see.

I dont have time right now to post all of Jakes numbers throughout the season, but in the MINN game, 2 for 13 on third down throwing plays, including two sacks. Obviously, not all his fault, but we have to execute better on third down, regardless of what else is going on in the game.

Woo, look at that TOP, man. Damn. Brings back memories of that fucking O not being able to do shit.

Certainly, we can break things down to the point of our fingers bleeding, but it comes down to a better running game, and rarely can a quarterback perform at elite levels when they don t have that. However, certainly, Jake Delhomme has to perform better, because he had his stretches where he was terrible.

If our OL performs consistently, I feel good about the season.

Yeah - I have a couple of Wins ( Rams and Tampa #2 ) on DVR and they are depressing - and we won. The Rams game we ran like mofos and owned TOP.

The TOP, alot of it was not being able to convert 3rd downs on offense, and then our defense wearing down. I gotta blame the offense before the defense, and Delhomme is on that offense. He needs to play better.

I think we got better in the offseason. We healed and added big time depth to our oline. We got Jarrett. We got Carr. Bottom line - we got better.

Funny thing is, I'm not all up Delhomme's ass. He's our best option. He's been the best QB we've had since Beurlein, and he's alot younger. I like him better than B-line b/c b-line took so many sacks, and Delhomme is younger and not as much of a 'transitional' qb as Steve always was.

He's the first one in franchise history to provide stability at QB. It took us 8 years to find him. That's how hard it is to find that. It took 8 years. We need to 'sell' Jake with great hesitation. He has flaws - but he's not nearly as easily replaceable as some folks think - at least IMO. I think it's really short sighted, and the arguments, to me, don't make sense, especially in light of the other deficiencies ( oline play ).

Since Brad Johnson - how has Tampa done for QB's?
    How about Atlanta?
New Orleans? Who did they have before Brees?

I'm happy to have someone under center. Those 8 years before Jake got here were pretty bad, qb wise. The years since Jake and Fox showed up have easily been the best years of the franchise - easily.

That said - I hope Carr provides delth AND competition, which is was clear Weinke did not.

And if Delhomme gets pulled for whatever reason - play, injury, whatever - I hope Carr steps in and kicks total ass.

And that's all I have to say on the issue.

I definately agree that Jake is our best option at this point. He can be an excellent quarterback. And yeah, the O is more to blame for that terrible TOP than the D, but shit, the D had plenty of blame.

And Im tired of only having one really well coached game on D per year.

But youre right. Look at other teams with no quarterbacks, and it aint pretty. Im glad we have both Delhomme and Carr, and hope one of those guys can stick around for the future.

No one is saying he is the only reason, we're just saying he was a very big reason.

    Rating in Wins: 96.3
    Rating in Losses: 68.3

Keyshawn drops a TD against Dallas that might have put the game away. He makes the wrong cut against the Bengals resulting in a game losing pick. He gets out fought for the ball against the Eagles. He had a big hand in three losses. It is no wonder he is gone.
