Everyone that prefers Carr of thinks Carr will start (without an injury to Jake) usually cites the fact that Carr was a first round pick.
What is more telling to me, What draft pick would you give for Carr? You could get a first day pick for him now. Houston couldn't get anything.

seriously, how do you have back to back seasons where your WR leads the league in td's and one of them wins the "triple crown" and not think that it might have just a teensy wheensy bit to do with the qb. all i've got to say is that rex grossman had more of a running game than we had in 04 AND has moose and moose hasn't put up near the numbers. yet, if uncw up there is gonna call for weinke over jake, i have no doubts that he'd call for grossman.

    scary.

Yep. At this point, my biggest concern with Carr is his ability to understand what the fuck a defense is doing.

Just because I'm waiting on laundry and bored:

    David Carr:

    27 years old
    2,070 passing attempts
    81 yard longest completion
    6 tackles
    1,235 rushing yards

    Jake Delhomme:

    32 years old
    1,934 passing attempts
    80 yard longest completion
    4 tackles
    222 rushing yards

Looks like he's definitely younger based on the statistics and a superior tackler....and on a serious note, he is definitely a better runner. Hmmmm....looks like special teams fodder.....he can run AND tackle!!
