maybe, sure. I had a pretty busy weekend, but I sure do hope you had fun. The politicizing of this whole thing that you're doing is why quarterback controversies are so fucking retarded, but sure. Have fun with that.

It was an observation, that is all. I didnt say, "bench Jake", at least, not in this thread. FWIW, I hope Jake starts the season as our starter, Carr needs to sit, see the game from the sidelines.

fair enough. If Jake was that erratic in practice, I'd expect to have seen it from a hungry media.

It does. Of course we were going to have good depth at C anyway. Hartwig, Hangartner, and then if you consider Montgomery a C, which is where he's working, that's a solid trio. Hangartner's not a G, IMO, though, which is why RG was going to be a little sore.

and if we'd done well to get another tackle, Bridges would've been fighting at guard with two guys who've started. I don't want Bridges at guard as I've said a ton, but the best 5 is the best 5. I don't know that Bridges is one of the best 5 over Hartwig or Kalil.

But yeah, really great. I hope it means a better line overall, and it should.

Actually to play Devil's Advocate... saying the other QBs had nice touch could easily be based on your opinion. Likewise, had Smith been running the wrong route been the reason for Jake's over throw you could easily blame that on Delhomme as well. Since there's been a previous record of your discontent with Delhomme it'd be easy in an argument to make it look as though your preference caused you to believe things that others might not.

I overheard several groups of people on Sunday saying Jake was inaccurate that day. Is it that hard to accept if just may have been true that day? I don't think anyone has ever argued that he is accurate.

Oh I ain't really got a dog in this fight, but mags is right in the fact that those two have been calling for Jake's head for some time. I was just arguing that they may be considering their perception as reality.
