Apparently, Kalil has been in a zone blocking scheme at USC. Wahle is also a zone guy.

Foster and Williams seem like they may be better suited to a zone blocking scheme.

We might be greatly improved next year at running the ball.

    Thoughts?

After we got him I went and watched some clips on him and his zone blocking was the first thing I noticed. That got me pretty excited about us drafting him. I'm really looked forward to our running game next year. Zone seems to suit our guys more as well as the running back we have. No more up the middle into a pile for no gain.

My only question is RG. Does Hartwig have experience at G?

yep, like I said, Kalil is prototype for this.
Even guys like Mathis should get better in it.

And Foster/Williams should definitely thrive in a one-cut-and-go scheme

I think he was drafted as a Tackle and moved to Center by the Titans. Their pre-draft brains had him projected to Guard.

    LT: Wharton/Gross/Butler
    LG: Wahle/Montgomery
    C: Kalil/Hangartner
    RG: Hartwig/Mathis
    RT: Gross/Bridges

That should be effective and deep.....

That's 11. I doubt it. At least 1 will be playing elsewhere.

Nope - you counted Gross twice. It's 10.

Honestly, I think that has been the general idea going into this offseason, from the moment Davdison was hired.
