I don't know. The human body is not meant to be banged around like football does. I'm guessing most guys his age and size would be hurt all the time. I'm guessing they're usually weeded out in high school and college. They get hurt again and again, and decide football is not the best game for them. Or else they know it, and play something else to begin with. Maybe he just got lucky before. Maybe his teams were so good he didn't have to make that much contact before.

But what you say could be true too. I've often wondered about it myself.

Maybe he could get away with it in college because he was hitting smaller and slower guys?

I say we make everyone he might tackle or run into wear heavy foam padding.

You know that is a knock on Willis is that he is not a big hitter but more of a go for the legs guy. Maybe that is not such a bad thing though. He is probably a lot less likely to be banged up all the time because of that.

If I remember correctly he played for Miami who didn't exactly play cupcakes all the time and he didn't have an injury problem at all in college. That only started in the pros and not right away. I think his first injury was the broken leg on the bad field. I thought the concussions come later.

I would've LOVED to see some quotes from his wife after that meeting.
