That's what I'm wondering about. There's a fucking mountain behind the house. Another across the street. 50'+ trees all around it. The antenna is already there. It's the only reason I asked.

Please don't take this the wrong way but if you are too cheap to pay for TWC or Direct TV's HD service, don't bother with HDTV at all.

You're wasting your time. Suck it up and get either one.

LOL. Over air broadcast is actually a better signal (providing you can get one in your location) than broadband. Over the air, there is no restriction on the bandwidth like there is with cable. And yes, I am too cheap to pay for cable. I pay for roadrunner because I obviously use it more than I watch tv. I've got a 27" tv. I don't even have surround sound.

That might be one of the stupidest things I've read in a while. There is absolutely no logic to it at all.

Very correct on the over the air signal being much better than anything TWC or DirecTV can deliver.

Here's a good site for you. A good mast mounted antenna is worth the investment.

That's the one I've been viewing. I've got a 100'+ hill behind the house. I figure another 50' pole should raise the antenna high enough.

My boss uses old school rabbit ears off Scaleybark and gets great HD reception. Even WBTV looks great in HD when you can barely pick it up in analog.
