Carr would not be a backup for long. I don't think you bring in Carr if you plan on having Delhomme as your starter. Carr is not a back up.

I might be one of the few that agrees. Carr might be better than he got a chance to show in Houston, but I'm not sure he's the "great" QB that a lot of folks think he is.

Word is that the Seahawks want him too. That's kind of a head scratcher to me.

If the Seahawks and us are the main teams interested in Carr, then I doubt there are 3 teams who will offer him a starting job. Word is he is very mechanical and can't read Ds. No instincts whatsoever. Not a good analysis.

Carr played for a couple different coaches with a sorry OL and a half ass RB, not to mention he was thrown directly in the line of fire with no tudor. Carr has played some very good games for a very bad team.

Harrington had a decent RB and a couple good WRs in Detriot and the same in Miami. Miami was suppose to be a great team this year and Harrington had his chance. Harrington looks like he may be a career #2.

I can't say that i remember a QB controversy being good for a team ever. it is a distraction and with the media coverage nowadays, it can damn near kill a team.

I want someone that can come in and hold it together should Jake (or whoever the starter is) go down for a few games. that's all.

that's about where I am, too. And while his lines weren't ever that good, you could see him have time and still not get it done in a timely manner, which is concerning.

Not that Harrington's better - he should at least be efficient. And isn't.

Miami, Minnesota and Oakland also have interest, and any of those is a starting job.

I still think Miami will end up trading for Trent Green. Oakland is the place that makes the most sense to me, but they're also said to possibly have interest in trading for Josh McCown. Minnesota is said to be Carr's first choice.

If you were a QB where would you want to play between these three and the Panthers? Jake has had a free ride. Competition is good

Minnesota might want him, but why the fuck would he want to go to Oakland? They make the Texans o-line look like the 90's Cowboys.

Carr pushing Delhomme would be a positive. Maybe annoying at times, but let's face it...we haven't had any real competition there since 2003. I think now would be a good time for that to change.

Oakland, no question. Having Calvin Johnson on one side and either Randy Moss or Jerry Porter on the other would be great. That, plus they can use their draft picks after round one to beef up the O-Line because their defense is already solid.

Carolina, with an entrenched starter and a coach who's already said he wants to focus more on running this year, isn't necessarily a prime landing spot.
