Still using Limewire, with the occasional torrent search. I've rarely wanted entire albums, so it works for me.

I think I've tried that one, but ended up wanting the album so didn't use it again.
I couldn't ever figure out how to be a good oinker, so they kicked me. I know it can't be that hard, but like Algebra-I have a block.
Does limewire have obscure stuff I can't get at record stores?

It all depends on who's sharing what. Limewire is peer-to-peer.

    oink, and newsgroups still

got my ratio up to 5.1 on oink. That'd hold me for any music, conceivably, as long as I could stand it.

programs on the other hand, I'd have to pay attention.

Not that I would, but utorrent is supposed to be a good client. www.torrentspy.com is regarded among would-be felons as a good place to find torrents.

I use utorrent and torrentspy primarily because builder strongly recommended both.

Never heard of that, is that by invitation only?

    Hint... Hint.... Hint....

If it's the same setup as oink, don't bother, I don't understand it.

Edit: I checked it out, open registration would have been great had I been looking 3 weeks ago.
