I forgot about Nolan Smith. He's a solid lock-down defender, but he doesn't seem to me an upgrade to the loss of Nelson so I say that's a push. Which means in essence all you're getting is Singler as an upgrade. I like his game, but he's not enough to take a team that isn't in the top 25 to the top 5.

    Are you serious, Shirley?

Wait til the Tarholes get out of Winston, if they can get by MSU. You'll hear people booing them just as much or more.

yeah, i know right. i mean, he might be on his downslide yet, it took him almost 20 less years than ol deano to win more titles.

that was quite possibly one of the worst matchups duke could have gotten. a team that presses, and likes to run up and down the court. plus the lack of a quality big man to complement the semi-quality of mcroberts kills them. can't rebound when you're dead tired.

that being said, i'm not too pissed. paulus is light years better than he was at the beginning of the season. i feel that maybe mcroberts is starting to learn to play better (although i said the same thing about shav before his last year) and hopefully schyer stays on course. one more consistent shooter and decent big man play and duke is a top 5 team next year.

Yes, it's not really a big deal.
