Fairly well reviewed. Uses the same panel as every other 22" widescreen on the market, but is priced better. If you've been looking for an excuse to get one, this is a pretty good deal from a local B&M vendor.

For comparison, the Samsung (same panel) @ newegg is $70 more:

And this same Acer is $310 @ newegg:

    I got a 19" viewsonic for $219 from Dell.com

I can't imagine going back to a standard model now. I love with Photoshop and Illustrator being able to have a standard editing window with all my tool bars laid out on the side.

Dell 2407WFP...accept no other. Sure, it's expensive (get the 2007WFP if you're strapped), but it's PHAT.

isn't there a 22 from Dell? I was considering that one. 24 seems almost to be too much to me.

Hmm, looks like you are right. As of very early this year they werent offering it in the U.S., only overseas. I had asked them about it, and settled on another 20" instead.

I was trying to figure out who made it to see if it was that same TN panel that these other companies are usin.

trust me, a 24 wide is not too much. I think 30 is too much.

I'm very happy with a 24wide and a 20 standard dual screen setup...amazing how often you toss windows to the 20. And even games, like Supreme Commander, will use a dual screen setup now. Let alone when you code - amazingly better for that work. But I'd gladly give up duals to just have the 24 if I had to.
