What would happen if you dozed your house and put up a 900 sq foot shack on your lot? Do you think the city would come after you? Would Bootay, Sly, and VP burn it the fuck down? For real, would the entire neighborhood refuse to go home?

Nothing. I'd just be stoopid to pay $750k for dirt and put a $5k shack on it.

There's no HOA here. Shit - There's an abandoned building on my street, right next door to a multi million dollar home.

did you ever put up the pre-fab playground?

fymfi: you should put a trampoline right the fuck in the front yard. surround it with lawn jockies and ceramic garden gnomes.

you should buy the abandoned building and have it torn down and build a nice park for your community...you know, give back a little

...but seriously, if you did buy it, what do you think you could sell the empty land for?

It ain't for sale. But that lot is multi family zoned, and all those being built around the corner are gonna start at $1.5 million each, so I'd say that lot is worth alot. I dunno how much - between $500k and a million is what the lot may sell for today.

The lady that owns it owns dozens of properties like it, all abandoned, prolly worth dozens of millions. FWIMFW - vp used to live in the place I'm talking about.

They just condemned one of her big empty houses on Queens Rd West.

I turned off Randolph road onto Colville (I think-it was heading away from town about a mile past Presby on the right) the other day and got lost in amongst a bunch of pretty nice shacks. Is that considered Myers Park?

MP is basically the area around Queens College up to Park Road Shopping Center and Myers Park CC. Border streets are something like: South its woodlawn/runnymede, west it's Park Rd., East it's Sharon/Wendover/Providence (and even some of that is stretching imho), North it's West Queens.

But who cares. I'm on the border street, the ghetto of MP. But it's still $400k+ for a lot now...insane. My commute sure does rock though.

Thanks! I knew the Park Road side was MP, but I knew it snaked through some places going toward Randolph, but wasn't sure where.
It was that first really pretty day we had and the lawns were looking great and most of the homes were fantastic and on great lots. I was thinking how great it would be to live there if I didn't have to pretend to be a soccer mom.

The city don't fuck with us.

On a side note the first black person just moved into my neighborhood.
