    Won't be cheap.

Is there a guage? You gotta think it will be in the $10 million / year range, based on what Clements got.

    Is Freeney the guage?

love the guy but hope the team has the sense to let him go rather than let it get out of hand

Yeah, but it's out of hand with everyone. Nat Clements got $8 million per, $22 million guaranteed. If you want to keep players in the NFL - it's time to pay.

Foster's contract even seems reasonable based on what guys are getting this year.

Clements' deal is too idealistic and I think the back year or two are fakes...something to Kevin Greene the deal up a bit.

But if/when Freeney, Justin Smith sign, they'll probably set market value. Unfortunately, until then, we probably won't see movement. I do have to assume it'll all get impacted by Clements' deal some, but that won't be the standard.

Smith's deal might be impacted by Andre Johnson's deal. Luckily, no big receivers have gotten deals around now, because receiver free agents would be nuts right now given what Graham got.

Free Agency is about to ruin the game.

Clements deal, even if the last 2 are fake, is pushing $7 million per with $22 million guaranteed. It's huge regardless. And Peppers is in a different class.

undoubtedly, the guarantees are going to be the worst. Salary is and always has been a yearly negotiable.
