pokes a hole in the idea that LFB "won't get that much money", but he did get less than Witherspoon or Morgan.

That's big money for Adalius Thomas. Weird - they spent huge on Colvin a couple years ago, too. They just don't often spend that big.

Rich get richer. I wonder if Seau and Tedy Bruchsi retire?

Fletcher's contract was not that huge in compared to the others but it is still a lot of money. I would rather have signed him than kept Morgan though. Still I am pretty happy with our approach so far. Let the big money go where it will and then maybe pick up a guy or two for more reasonable dollars.

I am glad to see Draft has not signed anywhere else yet, I am still hopeful that we will bring him back.

With the new CBA, I think we all have to step back and re-evaluate what is big money, and what isn't. It seems $7 million a year is the new standard for a good guard these days for example, where 3 years ago, that was damn good tackle money.

With Mike Wahle signed through 2010 and Ken Lucas through 2009 and Wahle still 29 (for a few more week) and Lucas just 28 kinda makes those "big spalsh" free agent signings of 2 years ago good moves......and makes both players.....Wahle especially current bargains.

This is why you are better off locking up your own players a year or two early instead of chasing free agents with big dollars.

Just heard on NFL Network that Dockery's agent sign $154million worth of deals in the last 48 hours, just three deals including Muhili and the other one slips my mind...might have been Clements.

That's a pretty good weeks work right there!

I am wondering if it is not somewhat stupid of the panthers to plan to seat around and do nothing for a week or even more. I am not sign that we go ahead a give a guy 80 million or even 45Mill or even 40mill. What I am saying is I am very concerns That by seating around and do nothing .We are going to let the TOP FA sign away then we end up sign a backup player who wont improve. Let’s be honest Some area such as S and MLB TE this 3area if we don’t plan to take care of this area in the Draft then we might want to get busy and sign someone who is going to improve this team. If the panthers think that they can find a starter if they wait a week or more then that. Then chances are they will be wrong. And we end up not making the playoff for Anther year. I want to hear if you guys are also concerns like me?
