chris leak got an 8 on the wonderlic

I thought it was actually a BS rumor and he never got a 6.

 

Depends on who you believe. PFT reported a 6, then changed it to a 7. The NFL denied it, esp after Young's agent, an attorney, threatened to sue. The scores are supposed to be confidential. Then he retook the exact same version, and got the 16. I think the NFL leaked the 16 score pretty freely.

PFT also reported they also reported he had not practiced any samples. Its common for people preparing for any kind of test to practice some samples, and esp athletes preparing for the combine.

I think others also reported the initial 6 story. So it's up to you what to make of that.

 

Well if it is confidential, Leak should sue too.

 

wow, an 8? Leak was a finalist for the draddy award (academic heisman) and he graduated in less than 4 years. he was academic SEC Honor roll several times.

The site says that test wasn't administered by the NFL. The NFL is the one with the confidentiality policy, not Wonderlic.

 

I heard the interview. They did ask him about the combine, coaches who impressed him, his thoughts on the meat-market approach of the workouts. They ask him if he had to take the Wonderlic and he said yes. He said that since he is evaluated on all aspects of the workouts/combine that he took the study work for the tests so he could do the best he could.
He didn`t sound like a young man who has to get by acting like a thug from the ghetto. He sounded sincere and intelligent, but tjmho.

 

He sounded that way in other interviews to me too. There's no telling where that 8 came from. Could even be a typo.

 

Is there a positive correlation between poor wonderlic scores and inexplicably lateraling a punt return in the 4th quarter to nobody in particular?
