Where did that bit come from? I wonder what players (busts?) he was he influenced us getting in here? Or is the actual choosing done by higher ups?

Didn't hear about that, but then again I didn't hear his name being associated with us until I read the preface to that article.

Just posted about Softli being gone in another thread, seems as if we're not changing just the front men.

I don't know but they mentioned he was on the West Coast. Fasini, Foster, Siedman, Manning Moore, Branch, Colbert, Marshall and Emanuel are west coast picks.

Whoever drafts Olsen needs to convert him back to WR. He's too fast to be a TE; you need that speed for a WR.

the Herald, 2/24. I have no idea who makes the bulk of decisions but without a defacto head of decision making I have to assume that delegation goes from Fox down and therefore an assistant coach would have more power in end choices than a scout would. I could've seen Softli having fair input, but don't know what level the new college scouting director would have in that area.

well, unlike a guy like Colston, Olsen is really just built as a TE. Not that Colston isn't tall or thick, or even broad shouldered, but at 231 he really was a tweener. He and Matt Jones, and Plaxico Burress, are the only guys I can think of that play at such a heavy weight at WR.

Read he had a wonderful workout too. Ran great routes, caught the ball, looked very natural. Of course, there's the inevitable "needs to improve blocking strength." (TFY)
