I thought it might be a good idea for everyone to list what equipment they have so we kind of get an idea of the foundation everyone has:

    I've got
    Canon XTi Body
    EF 28-135mm 3.5 IS
    EF 50mm 1.8
    EF-S 18-55mm 3.5 (kit lens)
    430EX Flash

Next thing on the list is a good telephoto, but havent made up my mind on which yet.

Love this camera. It takes great pics and decent video. My only wish is that it had better optical zoom and an option for an auxiliary flash.

I also have a Pentax ZX-60 35mm. Great camera that takes great pics. The only drawback is that 35mm film has gotten so expensive to purchase and develop.

    Canon 20d
    Canon 30d

    85mm 1.8
    50mm 1.8
100-300 (What a piece, of shit I mean)
    28-80 (another piece)
    18-55 (paper weight)

    580 EX flash
    Sto-Fen Omni Bounce
    Flash Bracket
    Canon flash cord
    Canon shutter release cable
    8G CF card
    2G CF card
    512M CF card
    another 512 CF card
    tampons
    lens cleaning paper
    lens cleaning solution
    various filters
    2 battery chargers
    3 batteries for the cameras
4000 AA batteries for the flash
bunch of index cards and rubber bands
    crack

I REALLY need to get better lenses... I am looking at the same the 70-200 IS 2.8 and I think it's a 17-40... both of those are L lenses and cost more than I make in a month.

sell the 20D body and get the 17-40. with your cropped sensor, you should have the 10-22, too -- wide is fun. don't bother with the IS on the 70-200. it's not really worth $600 -- that could buy another lens.

Larry, I can't sell the body... I need it as a back-up at weddings and such. BUT, you can always GIVE me your 17-40. Now there's and idea! :woohoo:

    Two bags.

    Pentax K10D
Sigma 18-135mm f2.8-5.6 wide angle lens
    Pentax AF-360FGZ flash

    Nikon D70
    Nikkor 24-120VR lens
    Sigma 18-70mm f2.8 lens
    Nikon Speedlight S-600 flash

I love the D-70 but I like the idea of having image stabilization regardless of the lens, especially in a 10 mp camera. I haven't used the K10D much yet but my wife is a florist and she has a couple of events this weekend. I hope to work it out a little then.
