Um, I think that sentiment might be valid this year. Its a fair thought, and shouldnt be mocked because of the past.

It's not out of the realm of possibility, but it deserves to be mocked if only because it's a yearly obsession. Henning leaving isn't going to change the basic philosophy of the offense, and aside from Dallas the only teams that have 2 quality WRs plus a pass catching TE are all wide open offenses. Personally I strongly doubt that we'll look to add a high profile TE, I just think we might use Mangum more. Blocking is still going to be more important than receiving, and there aren't too many guys who are good at both.

When you have Steve Smith and Keyshawn Johnson playing on the same team, there's only so many balls to go around. We may start targeting the position a little more often between the 20's, but I disagree with Clayton's theory that we're looking for a "pass catching" TE to come in here and have 40-something receptions.

Not from what I have read. He is looking to be selected between 20-27

Willis probably won't even crack the first round and could fall as low as the third depending on which MLB prospect teams like best.

I haven't cooled on Willis yet. He led the nation in solo tackles his junior year even though he missed two games. Then he had foot surgery in the spring, increased his tackles in his senior year and came back to get the Butkis award. He's just productive.

Productive at the college level, sure, but he's not particularly fast or strong. I see no reason to view him as a better prospect than someone like David Harris. There's no question that Willis is unworthy of the #14 pick, but we could argue about whether or not he'd be a good choice in the second round. I believe he'll fall to the end of the second or early third.

I still see him going in the middle of the 1st. Where do see his speed and strength in question? Just googling around, I havent seen any indication of that except this first site: .

Unless he really screws the pooch at the combine, I think he is safe to go in the 1st. Didn't he win the Defensive player of the game for his squad at the senior bowl? So far his level of play has rose with the competition.

Agree, He's got the talent (or lack their of) to fall to the end of the second, ealry third. but in a slack year for MLB's he'll probably go late first by default.

Unless a couple of guy's have minumental leaps in their draft stock somebody is going to reach for him.
