    Coon-ass in cajun means something totally different than 'coon' does in the rest of the country. White people are 'coon-ass' just like the term redneck. That is all.

    Coon Ass isn't a derogatory term. My gf is from Jake's home town. It's means hick or good ol boy. Everyone there is a coon ass.

    HA got this from a local NO guy.

    Coon-asses are cooler than rednecks. But, basically, yes a cajun redneck. I think down here, they have a lot of other words for Nick. Coon ass isn't one of them
