I'm not so sure about that. He lacks size and strength, is a mediocre blocker, and drops LOTS of balls.

AND Ben Utecht & Bryan Fletcher for TE's.

Not to mention Brandon Stokley who is a great slot receiver, but on IR this year.

I was talking to a friend today who played at Brigham Young back in the day and he says they have a pretty good TE coming out this year. He thought he would be a mid to later rounder maybe which is where I would not be surprised we moved on a TE. (Again unfortunately) Do any of you gurus have the scoop or is my buddy just being a homer.

Everyone knows that you're obsessed with it, in part because you don't understand NFL offenses. You're correct about Dallas using them, but keep in mind that they rarely use a fullback. Indianapolis is another good example, but they don't use a fullback either and are a much more aggressive passing team than we are. Seattle is a terrible example as their WRs are uneven and Stevens is mediocre at best. The Giants are also not particularly valid since Toomer stopped being a good WR years ago.

NFL teams are not fantasy teams, and frankly, it's much more important that we get improved blockers at TE than guys who catch passes.

The afore mentioned Grahm ain't half bad, but I can't think any that are to be "available". Heath Miller is a solid blocker, he's the type of player I would be looking for. Good enough blocker and good enough in the passing game to be a factor/option.
Guys like Stevens can't do either very well.

I do think has been a problem with our offense. By not utilizing the tight end much in the passing game we give up a viable option.
