no, we aren't going. Collin just enjoys stepping on peoples toes, and my toes are sore from it--he's a jackass (we all agree) and while he does know the game, he certainly has zero people skills--hence his lack of credibility amongst the folks he longs to call "peers."

 

arm strength? No, not usually. He doesn't seem to have many technique issues, and re-inventing him won't be useful.
Velocity you can sometimes change, but that's a technique issue - how you're throwing, how compact your throws are, etc.

 

it's a mistake, Solarte, but it's a valid one, and questions are worth answering. Honestly, a lot of guys who are rated first round aren't necessarily going to be there in two months or four months. Leak isn't right now, and I really doubt he will be, a first round player (and FWIW, certainly, Quinn is rated there, to relate to some of the other discussion), but he's not a bad player.

Either way, don't let him get you blustered. That's not you, and it's not worth it.

 

no sweat...I just don't get him...and guess I never will. Upon seeing the replies (early in the thread), Leak at 14 is a virtual improbability (if not altogether impossible), but if he was around for them as a late pick, I do think he would be a nice "gamble"....guys like Smith and Russel certainly have more of what NFL teams are looking for, but something about Leak makes me think he can have a nice career....

And that's fine, to each his own. Ive made it perfectly clear numerous times that im a ND homer but ive watched Quinn grow from a skinny little freshman to a young man the last four years.

While Quinn gets a wrap for losing to quality teams keep in mind how blown out the D has been in each of those games. They couldnt keep him in the game. Mich, OSU and SC were all 40+ blowout games. He didnt even throw a pick in the USC game.

He also shows he can protect the ball with only 14 picks his last two years. I dont believe he's fumbled the ball much either which is something we Panther fans can appreciate.
