I wouldn't do that even if we got Tiki and their playoff spot.

We definitely need someone like that. Hurney doesn't have a clue when it comes to personnel evaluation, and Fox falls in love with certain types. No more $5 million a year contracts for tubs of lard who can't play or broken down middle linebackers who were never great to begin with.

Seeing as the Giants haven't even settled on a GM replacement you'd have to say it's pretty outlandish. Add in that Coughlin hasn't been fired and the playoffs are yet to be played.

Just for fun I'll throw the name Cowher out for VP of player personnel.

How would you feel about Randy Meuller?

He's on his way out with the Dolphins (partially because he didn't handle himself particularly well when Saban was around) but I recall him being a good personnel man with the Saints.

I didn't think he was. He brought in alot of problem players, and a lot of dumb and underachieving players from what I remember.

I don't mind Mueller, but I wouldn't take him as a GM or VP right now, no.
I can't think of many names I'd want, though. Pioli I'd take, certainly. Maybe at the far outside chance I'd take Floyd Reese.

Mueller is fucking awful and has been since he was with New Orleans. Why Miami saved him from ESPN.com irrelevance is beyond me.

Mueller actually had a rep as a good talent evaluator when he was with the Seahawks, and New Orleans first playoff victory came in the first year on his watch. I think his one big bungle in New Orleans was bringing in Aaron Brooks, but even Brooks looked good early on.

If his job were limited to player evaluation, I'd give him a look. But then again, I preferred the two-pronged GM approach (one personnel guy, one cap guy) that they had before.
