I guess the "all he does is win" argument finally won a case. That's a shame. I think a guy like Colston or Jones-Drew would be far more deserving, based on production. And no, I don't think Vince Young was the primary reason for Tennessee's turn around. They played better defense in the second half of the season, Pacman Jones went nuts on opposing punt teams, and Travis Henry ran like he did in Buffalo. Young certainly played a part, but there were more worthy candidates out there, imo.

Young became a poster child, politically speaking, if he started he was going to get it. Colston and J-D were more deserving, IMO. Even Leon Washington deserved some consideration on the same level as Young...Washington was a factor the entire year for the Jets.

    You disagree?

I just didn't think it was a particularly good season on his part. Made some fine plays on the ground, but he's quite a long ways away from being a good all-around quarterback.

while we're at it, it's also worth nothing that his record was 8-5, which is solid, but not exactly Tom Brady territory. So I'm not sure the "but he's a winner" tag even applies to him yet.

He gets alot of attention for making big plays when needed but he also had a 66 passer rating and threw more ints than tds. He was going to win it whether or not someone else deserved it more.

Thanks, but I'd take VY over any of the guys that finished behind him. Class guy that makes his teammates better.
