Posluszny uses his hands well to engage and shed, and also looks instinctive as he reacts to the offense faster than anyone else on PSU's defense, but he's just not strong enough or quick enough for me to feel good about spending a second round pick on him, much less a first. Meanwhile OLB Dan Connor is bigger and stronger, but has lead feet. He has decent enough speed once he gets going, but his short area quickness is poor and he doesn't react well mentally to his surroundings.

Also, Penn State's star LT Levi Brown looks very average to me. His body doesn't stand out as impressive or particularly athletic, and he's a body blocker. He chest bumps in the run game and catches defenders in pass protection. Maybe someone can teach him to use his hands, but I don't see anything there remotely worth a first round selection.

The only guy who looks particularly good is DT Jay Alford, but he's an undertackle type who has quickness and moves to rush the passer but questionable strength to hold up at the point of attack. Like Jenkins, he seems to guess a lot and shoot gaps, but he's also much smaller.

I'm pretty impressed with Posluszny, I would welcome him here as a Panther. Don't really care about all that "Value talk" he's a gamer and we need more of them.

just a note to Joe Pa, if your kicker's range in 35 yards don't keep sending him out there to try 50 yarders

I do like his attitude, but attitude alone doesn't get it done. Tennessee was running at will up the middle in the first quarter, and Posluszny doesn't look quick enough or strong enough to be more than solid. I'll take solid, but not for a first round pick and I'm not sure he'd be worth a second rounder either (even though I'm extremely doubtful that he would make it to our second rounder).

David Harris looks better than Posluszny to me, although I imagine part of that is the superior Michigan line. On the other side, I wish Jake Long would come out in the draft. That dude is everything you'd want in an offensive tackle.
