he's fast...be nice to have a guy like that returning kicks and punts...

these last three games is a good time to start getting looks at guys to be on the roster next year, which is another reason I don't need to see too much of D.Williams & Steve Smith the rest of the season

    I like it. He's useful.

Can't say that about every receiver on our roster.

oll @ Colbert. Who apparently sucks at returning too, since he only got used there a few times. You gotta be able to start in this league, because if you have to compete with Nick Goings for anything, Nick Goings will take your lunch money. And then do a resoundingly average job at anything and everything.

Weinke would actually benefit having Colbert on the field this week, from them playing together on the 2nd team so much...look at how welll Weinke & Carter hooked up

plus, Colbert could use these next 3 weeks to show why he should be on the roster next year, or why he shouldn't

I think we already know the answer to that one. Then again, maybe he still has health issues .

No, I think we can all get used to the fact that he's nothing more than a back-up option. I don't know what happened. Had a promising rookie season, before dropping off with his "injury" last year. Then he comes out this summer and lights the world up, and only has five catches to show for it. Granted, we haven't been throwing to him very often, but he's just played soft and uninspired. That shows in his run blocking, particularly.

He's been replaced by Keyshawn, beaten by Carter and now Biddle. I don't think there's any question that he'll be somewhere else in 2007. Guys in his position have to be able to contribute on special teams to survive in this league, especially in a 2WR offense. Maybe a team like Detroit will give him a chance, but I won't be shocked if he's out of football in a two years.

Give the man a break. You know it is not until the second year when an injured foot fully heals. :badass:

He's had all year. We only activate 5WR a game, max. Unless Smith, Johnson, Carter, Biddle, or Hankton gets hurt, we won't be seeing any more of Colbert.
