Then if you have the answers, how would all our other problems be solved with QB play? I don't expect you to answer that, but that's basically what you expect me to do on most all these questions.

you used your own hammer to hit your own nail. If Jake was the ONLY problem, then the record MIGHT be better. Jake ISN'T the only problem, therefore it's 6-6.

No, he's not the only problem. But, a player that runs the offense and touches the ball every snap is naturally going to get the brunt of the criticism.

i know that...but in the panthers case, 1 guy isn't the issue. a fat and happy defense playing like rancid ass, an OL that isn't what it should be, either by injury or lack of something, a QB that suddenly is mistake prone...the list goes on.

Individually, who is playing worse? Gamble of course, but who else?

    well well

i wonder if henne from michigan would make a good QB... unless we can get up and make a trade for a higher draft pick.. no im not throwing in the towel on the playoffs this year.. but we need someone with talent to put pressure on delhomme.. weinke if he does play wont play much longer hes already old lol.. not that old but hes still old.. i think hes older than jake.. we need someone if not for anything else than to give jake a wake up call!

agree. Either we spend in free agency, or we pick a groomable kid (on day one this time) and we bring in some Norm Chow-like genius to coach all of our QBs and start TRYING to inspire more effective play at the position through coaching and competition. They have put every egg they got in one basket with Jake and this year should teach them that you don't have to have your starter get injured to have a bad year at the helm. It's wise to have options and not just hang all of your hopes on one undrafted guy staying hot.
Romo the Homo, Bulger, Brady (yes i know they were drafted), that's luck we ain't got . .. our front office has to TRY to improve the most important position on the team and not just count on jake finally morphing into a Brady without any helping hands shaping his play or pushing him from the wings.

We've brought those type guys in. They sucked. They will suck. One in a few thousand guys who come through are Bradys.

    we've brought in a Chow-like genius?
we've drafted a QB on day one to groom behind a fading starter?

I'm not expecting to LUCK into a Brady . . . I just think our staff has got to see that they can not just grab yet another UFA or 6th or 7th rounder and expect that to be enough. IMO jake needs to see that there is something being done aside from sheer complacence and dependence on him having the ball last and NOT making any mistakes in the 4th quarter.
