the game looked awesome on NFLN-HD!

directv rules, nfl network rules, hi def rules.

the announcers sucked and the pre/halftime/post game shows were some of the most amatuer-looking pieces i've seen. blech.

nope. I only do first round castings. So even if I did pass you on, you would still have to make it through several more rounds. I did it for them, and Biggest Loser.

I'd be fine paying for NFLNet on cable, for a reasonable amount. I'm allright with not having it, and I'm not canceling cable for it. In the end I don't know that I give a shit.

BTW, I saw the game, it was pretty decent. I don't honestly like Deion Sanders the more I'm exposed to him.

So you're suggesting that you refuse to believe that ESPN charges cable companies more than 70 cents simply because you're that determined to not admit that you're wrong about anything? Show me one source anywhere on the internet that says ESPN charges less than 70 cents, otherwise you just should have admitted that Variety was wrong instead of making it worse for yourself by showing how you actually don't care about the facts.
I'm a big fan of this argumentative style. First sentence = declarative statement regarding the subject. All following sentences = rambling that does nothing whatsoever to address the points presented by the other side or to support the declarative sentence.

And can we please stop the "Collin is a joke" nonsense? Sure, I'm widely disliked. Ooh, my feelings are hurt and I've never realized that before in all the years I've been posting around these people. But seriously, if I actually cared about that more than I cared about the facts, I really would have at least tried to change my behavior by now, don't you think? The problem is that, unlike most people, I'm not going to act like a sniveling coward just to see if others will like me a little more.
Again, I just want to point out that you did absolutely nothing to argue against the fact that the USSC ruled against the Studio System's "block booking" practice where they forced people to take a bunch of junk films in order to receive the ones they wanted. They absolutely did not rule that the producer cannot also be the distributor, as we see cases where companies both produce and distribute their products across the media spectrum. It's commonplace, but you want to believe that it's illegal because you supposedly wrote a 35 page paper and yet came out with less understanding of the facts than it took me to get in 90 seconds of research.

Collin don't flatter yourself. I am not mad at you. You are what you are. A smart man with zero social skills. You can't acknowledge that everyone won't accept your opinions as gospel. You can spin any information to fit your argument. Your argumentative demeanor is probably the sole reason why you never get laid (your words). Go ahead and respond. Your 15 minutes of Hulk like fame are dwindling down and a lot more trigger happy mod is ready to give you a 49erpi timeout

Yeah, for someone like me who has no idea really about the NFLN fight with cable, I dont appreciate it when someone else presents a side, and then backs out of it by saying Happy Thanksgiving, but youre an idiot.

If you call someone an idiot and all that, and say your point is concrete as hell, back it the fuck up, please. I would like to be informed as well as I can be, and I appreciate it when two sides try to present their points. Im not defending anyone, rather defending my right to hear why both sides think theyre right.

Another mistake. I guarantee that I have far more social skills than you do and can charm any room (professional or casual) more proficiently than you. What you mistake for a lack of social skills is a lack of respect for you. I do not respect you or people like you, and therefore I do not waste any effort on sparing your ego. I am nice or mean as dictated by your own behavior.
If I only cared about people agreeing with me or kissing my ass, then I wouldn't be offended by the people who have tried to be sycophants. It's nice to be liked and it's nice to be agreed with, but ultimately I care a lot more about actually being correct than any of that. That's why I admit that I'm wrong when I am, and why I'm offended by people who know that they're wrong (not just a difference of opinion, but outright wrong) and yet don't correct themselves. I disagree people on all sorts of things and don't browbeat them, but I get offended when someone says something they already know to be wrong.
I have turned down more pussy than you have ever seen. I know that sounds like nonsense, but I guarantee you that it's true. Again this goes back to you thinking that I lack social skills when I don't. If you don't believe me, let me go on a date with your wife and I guarantee that she'll leave you.

With the addition of the Thursday night package, the NFL Network is looking to increase it's per sub fees to the .70 range. This is a bit high for what is considered a niche channel. Most ops value it in the same range a Disney, Discovery, etc that charge in the .20 per sub.

ESPN has led the way with high per sub rates and must carry stipulations in their renegotiations with carriers. ESPN is now getting close to 2.90 per sub for the mothership.

Carriers are starting to fight back a bit. When your cable bill goes up, you blame TWC not ESPN or the NFL Network or FoxNews.
