Coming into the season I (most of us) thought the LBs were a problem area for the Panthers. And while to some extent that proved true, I think we now have a group at the position that can make some plays. What I dont think any of us foresaw was the possibility of safety play being as bad as it has been. Minters play, for whatever reason has dropped off, and Branch has looked like a rookie out there. Hopefully Willaims can come back in and help out, but I am concerned about us having made Boller look like Marino.

I think his Mom's death has REALLY affected him this year. She meant a lot to Mint and his siblings when they were growing up and I think her death shook him up pretty badly.:angel3:

Yep, Minter has looked lost and SLOW.
How about that hit from Draft ?? Just brutal.
As for Boller, two fluke TD passes that resulted from tips. Never see that again in a million years.

Not necessarily the tips, but the reaction to the tips. Over running, and flat out missing tackles.

we'll be better out there with Williams. We really need something better, and more permanent. Branch is FA after the year, and we should probably let him go unless he's willing to take the minimum to be depth, and a pick and a veteran should come in. In time, the pick will succeed Minter.

sure, at this point I'd like Grant. He's never stepped up that extra notch to be a Darren Sharper, but neither guy is an option right now.

I just want to say Im not trying to throw cold water on a great win today. The Panthers got a big win against a very good team in thier own house. However it does concern me that on the big plays that were given up guys were in position to make plays, or hell just the tackle, but didnt. Consistently they seem to have these breakdowns to allow teams to get back into games, when they could be nailing the coffin. Like I said Im just venting, some see the glass half full, some see it half empty. I want to know where the rest of my fucking water went.

Not too sure I'd like to have Grant back as a starter. Didn't watch the Jax-Jets game but the previous week vs the Skins he was abused. And apparently still has hands of stone.
