note Kemo's depth in the backfield. Didn't notice that before.

Anyway, yeah, Fujita took an awful cheap shot at Smith, a shame since I believe him a terriffic player who was on the rise.

It looked like fujita was actually looking the other way and spun back to Smith. When he saw Smith he reacted as if the ball was in the air at first, then just as he dove, he appeared to have let up a bit...maybe realizing that the ball was not enroute?
Fujita letting up is what caused the hit to seem devious, had he come full speed, he would have hit Smith between the belt and chest...but I seriously don't think it was intentional.

No, your description is very wrong. Fujita was facing Smith the whole way, certainly never spun, and definitely dove intentionally at Smith's knees. I've looked at it several times since yesterday and there's no question about those details. What I don't know is whether or not Fujita just assumed the ball was on its way to Smith, but he didn't wait for Jake to pump or anything to dive at Smith's knees. I definitely think he intended to hurt him.

Think you can post a screen shot of it? I was at the game and missed it. With the head stomping incident its been totally overshadowed by the national media.

at least it wasn't as blatant and classless as what happened in the titans' game.
