Favre against Philadelphia would be foolish. Culpepper is the best bet going forward and should have a good game against Houston.

I have culpepper and wish I had favre.

Culpepper sucks. He sucks the tiny white testicles of a steroid addled former lineman.

What's with this illogical Culpepper love?

I know he had a good run a couple years back, but he has been pretty awful (about as good as Jake, now that I think about it)

note this isn't an attack or anything, you just seem to be the president of the culpepper fan club lately

Culpepper is a highly talented quarterback with a good set of receivers who has understandably suffered through some early struggles as he's coming off of a very serious injury. The thing you need to understand is that, although I ironically am often accused of being a stats-obsessed geek, my understanding of the game goes far beyond a simple accumulation of numbers. So, having watched the games, I know that Culpepper was more than just the beneficiary of Randy Moss' talents (everyone seems to forget that Moss didn't help Kerry Collins light the world on fire). But beyond that, basing judgments about Culpepper's ability on three games in a new offense with a suspect offense line and a reconstructed knee is obviously silly. It's roughly akin to making judgments about First Baseman X because he struggled over the first three weeks of April, only worse.

Note that I'm not saying Culpepper is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He has a long way to go to get back there, but he is certainly one of the most talented. And in fantasy terms, Miami has a more favorable schedule going forward than Green Bay, while Rivers will be kept on a short leash all season.

To put it bluntly and rudely, I think Culpepper is good because I know football. while lay people such as yourself think he's crap because you don't and because you make irrational judgements on the basis of small samples without consideration of external factors.

I agree on Culpepper. Bulger will never approach the numbers he had in the past with the new coach.
